The City of Lompoc has a general law government, with a city manager. Our city was incorporated in 1888. Over the years, Lompoc has grown to a population of about 45,000. Our city continues to grow and expand, especially in the areas of business and health care.
Lompoc is a full-service city, providing our own services including fire protection, police, education, library and medical care. Our city also provides all weekly garbage and recycling collection services, and owns its own electrical utility. In addition, the City of Lompoc manages and maintains all water, wastewater, storm water and solid waste services for residents and businesses within the city.
