The City of Lompoc invites residents to learn about mobility enhancements currently under consideration for possible introduction in 2025.
Richard Fernbaugh, City of Lompoc transit and airport Administrator, said the city has received substantial input during the past three months. “More than 900 individuals shared their opinions, ideas, and priorities regarding possible City of Lompoc Transit and community mobility strategies through surveys, community workshops, and online comments. It’s now time to decide which service options to present to Lompoc City Council later this year.”
On Wednesday, September 18, the city will host a pair of community workshops at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center (1110 West Ocean Avenue) in connection with the Lompoc Transit Future project. Workshop times are 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Workshop participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and to indicate their preferences through an informal polling process.
Each workshop will last one hour, and light snacks will be provided. A $25 VISA gift card will be provided to each person attending. Free City of Lompoc Transit (COLT) rides to and from the workshop can be arranged by calling (805) 736-7666.
