The Lompoc Public Library and the Lompoc Parks & Recreation Department are celebrating Lompoc’s first permanent Sidewalk Story installation at Beattie Park on Friday, Feb 16th from 2:30p-4p.

Everyone is invited to explore this new park feature that promotes literacy, family time and physical activity by reading pages from a children's book that are placed in displays along a path. Every month a new story will be featured in the permanent displays.

The first book to be featured will be “Nosotros Means Us: A Bilingual Story/Un cuento bilingüe” by Paloma Valdivia. 

The event will also be featuring the Charlotte’s Web Bookmobile, food trucks, local organization info booths and more.
