Message from the Fire Chief

Welcome to the Lompoc Fire Department web page. As the Lompoc City Fire Chief, I am honored to serve the residents of Lompoc. 

The Lompoc City Fire Department serves our customers by responding out of two fire stations, with a daily staffing of nine personnel on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Fire Station 51 houses an engine staffed with three personnel, a rescue company staffed with two personnel, and a Battalion Chief.  Fire Station 52 is a single-engine company comprised of three personnel.  Our administrative staff is housed at Fire Station 51 and is comprised of the Fire Chief, Fire Administrative Aide, and Fire Marshal, where they manage fire prevention, fire code enforcement, and day-to-day administrative duties in the department.

Core values in any organization are what sets the foundation for the method by which we deliver service to our residents. The Lompoc City Fire Department's core values compose teamwork, customer focus, respect, professionalism, humility, and family. These values comprise the doctrine that provides us guidance and focus while providing our citizens the highest level of service. 

What makes the Lompoc City Fire Department special is the amazing group of dedicated firefighters that comprise the department. The members of this organization are committed to excellence. The countless hours spent training and preparing is one of the aspects that makes this culture special. The Lompoc City Firefighters pride themselves in knowing that they are prepared and ready to serve this wonderful city. The department prides itself in an “All-Risk” service model. This means that there is no emergency that our firefighters are not able to mitigate. The County of Santa Barbara Fire Operational Area also enjoys mutual and automatic aid agreements that ensure the residents of Lompoc receive the best care available in the region.
